KALINKA KLEZMER

Klezmer music originated from Eastern European music in the Jewish tradition, particularly the Ashkenazi Jews, and was played in ensembles by professional musicians called klezmerim.

Mostly, it used to be played for celebrations and communal events; however, today Klezmer has spread over any place where

Jewish people live.

The professional musicians of Kalinka Klezmer are a 5-piece-band: clarinet/saxophone, violin, piano, acoustic bass and drums. You can hear them perform during Hanukkah celebrations at Walt Disney World  Disney Springs. The director of Kalinka,

Olga Ferroni, grew up absorbing the unique genre in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova which may be considered

the heart and artistic community of Klezmer.
